To ensure that each of our clients receives the comprehensive solution they need, Spirus has developed a unique process that is focused on designing the right solution for a company's needs. The scalable process consists of four discrete phases that adapt to the demands of the project.
Conceptualize
During the conceptualization phase, the client and Spirus define the challenge to be addressed. Then by identifying the exact target audience and reviewing source materials, Spirus crafts an overall program structure and learning vision. A full proposal for the solution can then be submitted.
Client Involvement
The client's role during this phase is to provide the necessary information and details concerning the challenge that their eLearning program is meant to solve.
The intention of the design phase is to detail out the education approach, creative aspects and technical specifications of the solution. Each element is articulated in a "design document", and a series of graphic mock-ups are created to establish the visual tone. A comprehensive project plan and timeline is also developed and agreed upon at this stage.
Client Involvement
The design phase has been carefully cultivated to minimize the time and effort of the client. While informal consultation is needed from time to time, the client's primary role is to review and approve the design document.
In the build phase, the courses and modules are created. First, instructional designers script courses screen by screen. Then the media team creates and programs all media assets. Meanwhile, a technical team is constructing the company's portal's front and back-end functionality. When complete, the entire project undergoes multiple levels of quality assurance testing.
Client Involvement
Client involvement during the build phase depends largely on the type of source materials provided. Beyond providing the appropriate materials, client involvement is limited to reviewing and approving the course.
Courses are hosted on the Spirus Learning Portal, a robust SCORM-compliant backbone that simplifies user administration and facilitates customized testing, tracking, and reporting to meet the diverse demands of our clients. In select cases, marketing guidance is provided as well.
Client Involvement
With a high-end learning program available anywhere at anytime, the client is now in the driver's seat. The client's primary role becomes marketing and distribution.
