As the primary founder of Spirus Applied Learning Solutions AG, Shahin Sobhani has provided solid leadership to the company since its inception. In addition to his managerial role, Shahin is heavily involved in sales and solutions.
With a track record of numerous successful entrepreneurial ventures, Shahin provides Spirus with the experience needed to competently enter the challenging eLearning market. Having held top positions in both sales and finance portfolios, Shahin employs a wide complement of skills in leading Spirus.  Thomas A. Buckingham, M.D., PhD.
Medical Director
As the Medical Director, Dr. Thomas Buckingham provides Spirus’ instructional designers and producers with guidance in all aspects of the medical field.In addition to ensuring the accuracy and quality of the education content, Dr. Buckingham provides the team with unique insight into the medical world.
Dr. Buckingham received his M.D. from Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, and his PhD at Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovak Republic. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in clinical cardiac electrophysiology, and he has various publications in the field. Dr. Buckingham has had appointments in various institutions in the USA, Switzerland, and Slovak Republic.  Calvin Sturdivant
Vice President, Enterprise Solutions
A recent addition to the Spirus team, Calvin Sturdivant, has assumed responsibility for the strategic and operational leadership of Spirus’ sales, marketing and enterprise solutions operations on a global basis.
Coming from Microsoft, where he served as Regional Business Manager for Microsoft’s Global Accounts, Calvin brings with him expertise in developing large-scale solutions and managing client relationships. Calvin boasts over 20 years of experience in the information technology industry with companies such as Toshiba, IBM and other Fortune 500-equivalents.  Nadim Kiani
Director of Operations
Nadim Kiani manages the development and maintenance of the Spirus Learning Platform. His role encompasses the oversight of all necessary eLearning infrastructure and support services.
Trained as an engineer, Nadim brings a strong technical and IT background to Spirus. Having worked in the eLearning field for over 8 years in various capacities, Nadim has the proven ability to handle the project management and technical complexities that are inherent to managing online infrastructure.  David Burch
Executive Producer
As the head of Spirus' Content Team, he works with Producers to assemble a team of educational, creative and technical resources, and oversees the entire design and build cycles. In addition, David focuses his energies on developing the overall content production methodology.
With a background in both process development and software platform management, David is well suited to drive a variety of initiatives in an entrepreneurial environment. However, his writing, project management and creative skills have found him a home in content development.
